Bucharest, April 5, 2012 - Linkin Park will perform for the first time in Romania on June 6 at Romexpo Bucharest. The concert is organized by Events.

Mike Shinoda, Chester Bennington, Brad Delson, Phoenix, Joe Hahn, Rob Bourdon are not just a rock band, but a hybrid rock, hip-hop, electronic, alternative rock. The six band members are from Southern California, and the idea appeared in the small bedroom of vocalist Mike Shinoda, where he along with Delson recorded the first material in 1996. The two had been schoolmates. Since then, Linkin Park have sold over 45 million albums around the world and won two Grammys out of six nominations, plus numerous other music industry awards.

"The biggest mistake some make is to say that we are a rock band", says Linkin Park guitarist Brad Delson. "We consider our music a hybrid. Title of our debut album" Hybrid Theory" is the name I wanted to bear that band is the result of six modes understand music and six distinct artistic personalities. "

Hybrid Theory was certified diamond (10 million copies in the U.S.) and won multi-platinum in many other countries. Their last album, "A Thousand Suns", debuted at # 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, which makes it the third consecutive album of Linkin Park to get there. The promo tour with the same name, "A Thousand Suns Tour" crossed five continents and 30 countries, on which occasion the six have perfomed in front of over one million fans. „Linkin Park is performing for the first time not only in Romania, but in the Balkkans, this is why we believe we’ll have a lot of audience coming from the countries in our neighbourhood” says Sorina Burlacu, General Manager Events.

Linkin Park is currently working on a new album to be released in the summer of 2012. After a period of experiments and in an era when almost all the bands go to dubstep, Linkin Park decided to return to the initial sound. Singer Chester Bennington described the new project as "going to be something more familiar to people than it was" A Thousand Suns". We’ve incorporated a lot of guitar work with big choruses and the heavier electronic stuff to give it that really big wall of sound feeling without getting too metal”. Bennington also revealed that the lyrics and theme of the new album will not be political in nature, saying: "We've been writing a lot about relationships. We're not a political band, we're a socially minded band”.

In 2005, Linkin Park founded Music For Relief, a non-profit charitable organization, which grossed over $ 5 million for victims of natural disasters. 2,2 lei from the price of every ticket sold in Romania goes to Music For Relief. At this point, the band Linkin Park is first in number of fans on Facebook, with over 36 million "followers".

Ciuc Premium is the official beer of the Linkin Park concert in Romania. „Respecting its promise to always sustain  the quality live music, Ciuc Premium is supporting the first show in Romania of Linkin Park, a band longly awaited by thousands of fans”, says Paul Markovits, Director Marketing Heineken Romania.
