A performance devoted to the extraordinary life of an extraordinary woman. Alma Schindler-Mahler-Gropius-Werfel – daughter of an artist and muse to some of the most renowned and gifted men of her era. Known as Vienna’s Muse, she inspired composer Gustav Mahler, painter Gustav Klimt, architect Walter Gropius, artist Oskar Kokoschka, and poet Franz Werfel. Under the direction of Dejan Projkovski and dramaturgy of Sasho Dimoski, the play unfolds fragments of Alma’s life in a retrospective narrative. The muse and her reckoning: to inspire or to create; to be a faithful shadow or to shine with her own light; to be the woman beside great creators, while bearing the bittersweet cost of love paid in the currency of her own genius.
