AVANTASIA FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SOFIA
The German rock and metal flagship comes to Bulgaria on the 10th of June 2026 invited by Bulgarian Live Music
For the first time in Sofia we will have the chance to see the German supergroup AVANTASIA. They will play pn the 10th of June 2026 at Asics Arena. In their 25 years of existence, AVANTASIA has become one of the biggest leading forces in metal, boasting nine successful previous albums (such as the #1 charting Moonglow), worldwide sold-out arena tours and headline shows at all of the most important metal festivals.
In the spring of 1999, at the age of 21, vocalist Tobias Sammet decided to take the plunge and fulfill his dream of a solo project in which he could work with his musical heroes. AVANTASIA's first single was released in the spring of 2000, creating a new musical genre – "metal opera."
During the years AVANTASIA have worked with names such as: Michael Kiske, Alice Cooper, Dee Snider, Floor Jansen, Joe Lynn Turner, Rudolf Schenker, Sharon den Adel and many more.
The supergroup is expected to perform a set lasting over two hours in Sofia, during which we will hear all of the group's hits, as well as new tracks from their latest album „Here Be Dragons“, released in February this year and considered the most powerful AVANTASIA album so far.
