AHAT is a Bulgarian heavy metal band whose first documented public performance took place on December 22, 1986. In 1988, the band recorded "Chernata Ovtsa" ("The Black Sheep"), one of the emblematic songs of Bulgarian heavy metal. Their debut album "Pohodat" was released the following year, followed by "Izpod Ruinite" in 1994.
After several years of inactivity, AHAT reunited in 1998 to open for Deep Purple at their concerts in Sofia. In 2003, the band performed in front of more than 10,000 people as a supporting act for Whitesnake and embarked on its first major national tour since 1991.
In 2004, AHAT released "Made in USA", recorded in Florida, and participated in the nationwide Golden BG Rock Tour. In the following years, the band shared the stage with major international rock acts including Black Sabbath and The Cult. At the end of 2006, AHAT performed alongside Dio at a concert marking Bulgaria's accession to the European Union.
