Synopsis:
The text of “Electra, Waiting for Orestes” is based on a scene of about 100 lines from Sophocles “Electra”. It has grown out of it, from what the author heard in it. In this scene, Electra and Clytemnestra argue fiercely, accusing and insulting each other in the worst possible ways. They quarrel over the dead Agamemnon. Each has its own version, and these versions are irreconcilable. But they are both strongly tied to their perspectives and are inseparable of their traumas.
