Rock legends DEEP PURPLE to kick off their European tour in SOFIA

The legendary British rock band DEEP PURPLE has a new album – and the Bulgarian audience will be the very first to hear it. The beloved musicians return to Bulgaria on 29 September 2026, transforming Arena 8888 into the stage for an unforgettable rock spectacle. The iconic titans who have shaped the sound of the genre for more than five decades will be joined by the band Jayler.
Following the success of their latest album, the band continues to write history. In 2024, DEEP PURPLE released “=1”, marking the first recordings with guitarist Simon McBride. The album topped numerous music rankings and charts, combining new energy and a contemporary edge with the unmistakable spirit of classic DEEP PURPLE. Now, the group is preparing its next chapter – a new studio album and a tour that begins in Sofia. The concert at Arena 8888 will be a celebration of DEEP PURPLE’s legendary rock sound and yet another proof that the band continues to evolve even after five decades at the top.
Despite their vast legacy, DEEP PURPLE still sound modern and bold. With more than fifty years of success, countless sold-out tours, and a place in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, DEEP PURPLE’s music continues to win new fans across the globe. Bulgarian fans will have the chance to experience this unique concert live. Early-bird ticket sales for DEEP PURPLE’s concert begin on Friday, 21 November, at 12:00, through the Eventim network.
