Emil Markov graduated from the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (VITIZ) with a degree in Acting for Drama Theatre. He has performed at the Sliven Drama Theatre, the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, the Nikolay Binev Youth Theatre, and others.
He has worked as a screenwriter for television shows such as *Kanaleto*, *Vot na Doverie* (Vote of Confidence), and *Komitsite*, as well as the series *Stolichani v Poveche*, *Darvoto na Zhivota* (The Tree of Life), and *Otkradnat Zhivot* (Stolen Life).
He has appeared in numerous films and series. His most popular role is that of Associate Professor Zahariev in the medical drama *Otkradnat Zhivot*, for which he also served as a screenwriter. In 2022, he played the lead role of Konstantin Sheytanov in the series *Lazhite v Nas* (The Lies Within Us).
He is part of the cast and serves as the director of the Artvent production *Sasedite Otgore* (The Neighbors Upstairs), which also features Lilia Maravilya, Silvia Petkova, and Ivan Barnev.
