"Baza X" presents "Do You Swear by the Children?"
She is a psychologist; he is a lawyer. They are a couple as much in love as they are superstitious. One evening, they swear to remain faithful to each other for ten years—for the sake of their children.
Time passes, and the end of this "fidelity term" draws near. With it comes the moment of truth: just how much weight does it carry to say "I swear"?
As they prepare to reach this long-awaited milestone—demonstrating a clear conscience, morality, and propriety—doubts begin to surface for both of them. Interpreting morality in their own ways, the couple enters a spiral of lies from which escape seems nearly impossible.
Salomé Lelouch’s new play, "Do You Swear by the Children?", immerses us in situations that are as intractable as they are authentic—reflecting the reality of modern romantic relationships. The lead roles are played by Vesela Babinova and Vladimir Zombori, who are a couple off-stage as well. The cast is rounded out by Lidiya Vasileva and Daniel Kukushev. The production is directed by Kris Sharkov, with set design by Vanina Tsandeva.
Following the success of "Don't Say That!"
Featuring Teodora Duhovnikova and Zahari Baharov, this is the second play by French author Salomé Lelouch to be staged in Bulgaria. The comedy captivates audiences with its contemporary relevance and spicy sense of humor. The script is lively, surprising, and intelligent, while the actors engage in a relentless duel of little secrets and big lies.
