Elena Telbis graduated in Acting for Drama Theatre from the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NATFIZ) in 2013, in the class of Prof. Ivaylo Hristov. Her theatrical career continued that same year when she joined the troupe of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre. There, she performed some of her most significant roles, including: Katya in Zhanna by Yaroslava Pulinovich (dir. Yavor Gardev); The Demented Woman in As You Desire Me by Luigi Pirandello (dir. Teddy Moskov); The Little Metal Girl in A Couple of Poor, Polish-Speaking Romanians by Dorota Masłowska (dir. Desislava Shpatova); the Ghost of Hamlet in Hamlet by William Shakespeare (dir. Yavor Gardev); as well as roles in The Watchers (Hypothesis of the Hereafter) (dir. Yavor Gardev), Delhi Dance (dir. Galin Stoev), and others. Her other roles include Nina Zarechnaya in The Seagull at Azaryan Theatre (dir. Yavor Gardev) and Izzy in Rabbit Hole at Theatre 199 "Valentin Stoychev" (dir. Ivaylo Hristov). On the big screen, she has appeared in the films: Losers (dir. Ivaylo Hristov), Bad Girl (dir. Marian Valev), and German Lessons (dir. Pavel G. Vesnakov). On television, she plays the lead role in the series Vina. Awards: 2014 Askeer nomination for Rising Star for the role of Izzy in *Rabbit Hole* by David Lindsay-Abaire (directed by Ivaylo Hristov, Theatre 199 "Valentin Stoychev"). 2015 Ikar Award for Best Supporting Actress in the production *Zhanna* by Yaroslava Pulinovich (directed by Yavor Gardev, Ivan Vazov National Theatre). 2021 Askeer Award for Contemporary Bulgarian Drama for her play *Trash* (*Bokluk*), as well as the 2021 Ikar Award for Best Playwrighting.
